A reflective photo taken a few years ago. Kind of heavy looking back on it now. This particular image was captured in the utmost essence of what it means to be a surfer in a region that isn't drenched with swell all the time. A crisp winters day where the day light hours don't linger too long once the afternoon hours have set in. As the sun was setting the tide dropped out, the winds clocked around more north, and a decent period ground swell was able to materialize itself on the sand bank formed offshore. No forecasted prediction of this occurrence, no star ratings, no online alerts, just the reward of an intuition to the conditions on hand and a lovely thing called... time.
