moving to the top of the list of barney's, is the auto industry.jumping on the bail out parade following in the great example of the other money hungry industry did, wall street. by the way this is also symbolically saying that one doesn't have to be responsible for their actions in modern day society. wait holy shit that's it...no one has to be responsible for their actions any more. kids, ya hear that? well, why should they be? the crooks in washington seem to bathe in crisco oil having their filth roll off them when it comes time for finger pointing. wall street asked for a bail out program because of their hi-jinx. so wait, what about all those pricey corporate luncheons and frivolous spending when the times were high? living the cocaine dreams of a wall street big shot. didn't hear any complaining then. now getting back to the US automotive industry, they too now are asking for some type of bail out program or funding of another to help get their programs back on track. as the saying goes, "you reap what you sow." while all those pesky green environmentalist were nagging GM to think more environmentally sound, they were busy manufacturing "tanks" for soccer moms to drive around town in. buyers invested in these type of super sized vehicles none other than the fact that this was what GM served up. heck it was a symbol and extension of americana, bigger is better and all that hoopla. can someone remind these criminals in detroit looking for a bail out that they were the ones who had the major corporate lobbyist in washington petitioning for the gas guzzlers they were making and STIFLING the research, design, and manufacturing of any type of hybrid car that falls into the eco friendly department. the same people that are asking for a hand out now in the year 2008 are they same one responsible for this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsJAlrYjGz8. we could have gone in this direction from the get go, however as you know how the story goes it didn't. now GM is asking for tax payer dollars to get them out of this hole they dug themselves into because they thought it would be better to manufacture such "truly amazing vehicles" like the hummer... whose name should be changed to bummer! these gas guzzlers are the ones sitting on the lots now. with gas prices today the cars in which those tree huggers kept on talking about look and seem a lot better now, huh? so to get on that track GM needs a bail out. i say they take all those gas guzzler wanna be pseudo tanks, and ship them over to the middle east. they got the oil. they got the money. put your tail between your legs, take responsibility and take the loss. again, it is this old plaguing american dream which seems to haunt us today. times have changed. that post WW-II ideal has no place in the year 2008. sad to say also is that the people who shared and hold those dreams internal clocks are almost expired only to leave us remaining on earth with their burden. so why are we still trying to live their dream? if anything is ever proven true is that history repeats itself. why can't we ever get that and learn from the past and not make the same blunders as past generations. it's time for a new american dream.
